Dr. Amani Norling is a T32 Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Hinda and Arthur Marcus Institute for Aging Research. Her research is focused on identifying the underlying mechanisms that can be targeted to enhance brain health and reverse the effects of aging and neurodegeneration. To that end, Dr. Norling examines the effects of exercise and cardiovascular fitness on the brain in older adults. Dr. Norling earned her PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis from the California State University, Stanislaus
