Sohyun Jeong, Ph.D., B.C.P.S.

Dr. Jeong completed her doctoral degree at the College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea. Her main research area in doctoral courses was the utilization of pharmacist-driven patient care, pharmacotherapy and pharmacogenomics applications in mineral bone disorders in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD-MBD). During her postdoctoral training, she worked on drug-induced parkinsonism, refractory myasthenia gravis, depression management, and drug safety and pharmacovigilance issues in opioids and maternal influenza vaccination using health insurance claims data with multiple advanced epidemiological methods.  Currently, Dr. Jeong focuses on drug repurposing opportunities using multi-omics data, pharmacogenomics, and genetic epidemiologic studies with Mendelian Randomization, LD score regression application, Transcriptome-wide association study as well as microbiome study in Alzheimer’s disease, gastric cancer, and multiple sclerosis.
