Natalie is a Registered Dietitian and Research Associate II with specialties in end-stage renal disease (ESRD), diabetes, and gerontology. She transitioned from clinical nutrition to public health research in 2021 and is currently pursuing an MPH at UMass Lowell. Her long-term goal is to become a Nutritional Epidemiologist investigating the intersection between frailty and malnutrition on patient outcomes.
She is working on various frailty projects with Dr. Kim’s Team at the Marcus Institute for Aging Research, integrating her nutrition expertise, including patient education and enhancing patient engagement through motivational interviewing. She has also trained under Dr. Jenny Palmer on qualitative research techniques, specifically semi-structured interviews, and looks forward to integrating this knowledge in future research.
