Dr. Mangano’s research interests include exploring the relation between nutritional factors and musculoskeletal health among older adults. Her current research project, funded by a NIA T32 grant with the BIDMC/Harvard Translational Research in Aging Training Program, focuses on dietary protein food groups and whether they are differentially associated with bone and muscle strength.
Dr. Mangano received her undergraduate degree, a Master of Science degree and a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut. She teaches Clinical Epidemiology and Population Health course (AC511.0) at Harvard Medical School.
