Heather Andrews is Research Associate at the Marcus Institute and also a medical assistant within the Wolk Center for Memory Health. Prior to joining the Marcus Institute for Aging Research, Heather served as the Life Enrichment Specialist within the memory care unit at Mount Desert Island Hospital's Birch Bay Village and worked as a Research Assistant within the Cognition, Aging, Resiliency, and Enhancement Lab, Maine Mood Lab, and Peer Relations Lab at the University of Maine. Heather presented on mindfulness associations with executive function and well-being in older adults at the 2021 International Neuropsychological Society conference and more recently on cognitive impairment and socioeconomic status-related differences in affective traits with the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Heather holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Maine where she graduated summa cum laude with a Faculty Research Award.
